• Administration, configuration and monitoring of the network equipments, which some equipments are among the few installed in our country and there is one equipment that is unique in Latin-america.
• University Internet Link management.
• Traffic monitoring and checking of the networks that connect to the Backbone, in order to detect atacks, virus, worms, etc., check security problems and reduce the waste of network resources..
• Computer and server security auditing
• Solaris and Linux server configuration and management.
• Design and development of “Centro de Operaciones de Redes (C.O.R)” of REDIUC , which is the main heart of the network and service monitoring of this division and the entire university.
• Management of the equipments that make the FM Radio and Television broadcasts available to Internet.
• Adminitration of the network services, such as file server, email, webpages and database services.
• Support, monitoring and management of the Live Video transmision link for the University Television (UCTV)
• Design, development and maintenance of the Information System Platform of this division.
• Network equipment installation and configuration, for indoors and transmision tower.
• Local webpages design and administration.
• Support for the administration of the Division Local Area Network.
• Supervision of the execution of telecommunication service installation projects.
• Node maintenance, which involves cleaning, damaged parts replacement, Air Conditioning and Power checking.
• Computing and network equipment purchase process, which involves research, product comparisons, product selection, sale contact and purchase.
